If you’re in Auckland, you have to visit Smith & Caughey’s Enchanted Forest—it’s where I had the best time with Santa, and honestly, nothing else compares. This isn’t just your regular sit-on-Santa’s-lap kind of visit. Nope, this is a full-on holiday adventure! Let me tell you all about my Enchanted Forest Santa experience in Auckland and why it’s my absolute favorite.
A Magical Journey Starts With Fairies
When you walk into Smith & Caughey’s, the holiday magic begins instantly. I was greeted by fairies (real ones, pinky promise!) who were dressed in sparkly gowns with wings and twinkly crowns. They smiled, called me by name, and even complimented my Christmas sweater. It made me feel like a character in a holiday movie!
Then, they led me into a golden elevator. But this wasn’t just any elevator—it was like stepping into a magical portal. As we rode up, music played and the fairy told me that we were leaving regular Auckland behind and heading straight for the North Pole. At the top, the doors opened and—bam—I was in the Enchanted Forest Santa Experience in Auckland.

🌲 Welcome to the Enchanted Forest
This forest wasn’t your usual bunch of pine trees. It was filled with snow-dusted branches, glowing lights, glittery reindeer, and decorations that looked like they came straight from Santa’s secret stash. I walked past animated elves wrapping gifts, a gingerbread village with cookie-scented air, and even a sleigh display that made for the BEST photos.
Every twist and turn revealed something new. I spotted a countdown clock ticking down to Christmas, peeked into elf windows, and added my name to Santa’s Nice List (yes, it’s interactive!). It wasn’t just beautiful—it was magical, like the entire forest was alive.
Meeting Santa in His Cozy House
At the end of the forest, one of Santa’s elves greeted me with a big smile and led me into Santa’s house. And there he was—Santa himself, sitting by a cozy fireplace, waiting just for me. He wasn’t rushed or distracted; he spent real time with me, asking me questions and making me feel so special.
The coolest part? Santa gave me two incredible gifts: a beautiful ornament and a bell from one of his reindeer. He told me that when I ring the bell, his reindeer will always know where I am, no matter how far I travel during the holidays. I’ve always worried that Santa might not find me because I’m in a different country every year, but he said I don’t have to worry at all. That bell gives me so much confidence that Santa will always find me!
