Our reviewers, our heart

The Suite Society is Harper’s World’s invitation-only collective of youth reviewers — well-traveled children and teens from diverse family backgrounds and travel styles. Too often overlooked by luxury hospitality, these pre-teen and teen travelers bring a discerning eye that reshapes how hotels engage families. Anonymous and independent, they travel incognito with their families, guided by a consistent methodology that demands rigor, discretion, and fairness.

Their reviews go far beyond the four walls of a suite. They assess the entire stay — from the welcome at check-in to the design and flow of rooms, the attentiveness of staff, dining that respects preferences and allergies, wellness and recreational offerings, cultural programming, safety, and those intangible moments that define true hospitality. And they never overlook the people: a concierge who recommends a hidden bakery for an early morning adventure, or a server who remembers a mocktail order by day two. Employees who make luxury personal are always recognized by our Suite Squad.

Hotels never pay for evaluations. Each review is confidential, structured, and uncompromised — producing feedback that is candid, constructive, and impossible to ignore.

The Suite Society is also educational. For families, it offers a trusted benchmark and teaches young travelers to engage critically with culture, service, and design. For the industry, it provides insight that elevates standards for multi-generational travel worldwide.

For hotels, it is both a challenge and an opportunity: to rise above competitors, earn recognition that few achieve, and become part of a new global standard for family-friendly luxury.

The Suite Squad

The Suite Squad is our invitation-only collective of youth reviewers who travel incognito with their families to evaluate the entire hotel experience—welcome, design, service, dining, wellness, culture, safety, and the moments that make luxury feel personal. Their identities remain private so the feedback stays authentic, candid, and impossible to stage. Harper leads from the front; the Squad’s perspective ensures pre-teen and teen guests are never overlooked.

Employees who elevate a stay are never missed—concierges with inspired suggestions, servers who remember a favorite mocktail, teams who anticipate independence and safety for older kids.

Harper’s World Seal of Approval

Making the grade. Wherever you see the Harper’s Seal, you’ll know a property has passed a discreet, demanding evaluation of the entire family experience—not only luxury and service, but how a hotel genuinely welcomes, engages, and delights every generation.

Our Suite Society reviewers travel incognito with their families and scrutinize every touchpoint—from the first greeting to the last farewell. They see what others miss: how rooms and spaces adapt for siblings, how independence and safety are balanced for older kids, how staff anticipate needs, and how dining and cultural programming create memories that outlast the trip. Employees who quietly elevate a stay are never overlooked.

The Seal is earned, never bought. Properties cannot apply, and no payment influences outcomes. Each review follows a rigorous, confidential methodology designed to reward authenticity, fairness, and multi-generational excellence.
There is no public list of evaluations. Hotels are never notified in advance, and not every property reviewed will hear from us. Only those that achieve the Harper’s Seal of Approval are discreetly informed following their secret visit.
